Get Involved

There's a job here with your name on it. Probably several.
Some of it happens inside this building on a Sunday morning — the worship band, the nursery, a committee that meets four times a year and quietly keeps something running. Some of it happens out in Greencastle and Putnam County, in a school hallway or a jail visiting room or around a table with people working their way out of poverty. It's all the same work.
You don't need a plan. You don't need experience. Tell us roughly what you're drawn to, using the form at the bottom of this page, and we'll point you at something real. matter who you are or what your story, welcome you with unconditional love, since that's exactly how Jesus welcomes you. Because of this, expect to see diversity at Gobin—in age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status and life experience. We place a high value on diversity.
Worship Participation
Help make Sunday happen
Worship doesn't assemble itself. Every Sunday takes musicians, singers, readers, people running sound and slides, people handing out bulletins, and people who notice the visitor standing alone in the entryway and go say hello.
You don't have to be good at this. If you play something, we'd love to hear about it — including the instrument you assume we don't need. If you'd rather stay off the platform entirely, the tech booth and the welcome table are both real ways to serve, and both are usually short-handed.

Parents want two things from a church website: is there somewhere safe for my kid, and can I trust the people in that room. Fair questions. Here are the answers.
