DePauw Campus Ministry

Because we are located on the campus of DePauw University, we want to be a “home away from home” for college students.

All are welcome to join us on Sunday mornings. And by all, we mean ALL. For a quieter, more traditional service, join us for Gobin Beginnings at 9am. If looking for a more vibrant, lively service, we welcome you to Gobin Mosaic at 11am featuring live music from our very own Gobin Worship Collective. Students are also involved with community outreach. They mentor in local schools and volunteer with our Transformers programs. They lead worship on Sunday mornings and during Campus Worship Nights.

Our Chapel Interns are DePauw students who use their gifts for ministry to serve in Gobin’s student ministries, from liturgy to social media.

Connection to DePauw University

Located at the heart of DePauw University, Gobin Church maintains a strong connection with campus life. We work alongside students, faculty, and campus organizations to create opportunities for engagement, reflection, and service.

Our ministry serves as a bridge between academic life and spiritual growth.

How to Get Involved

Getting involved is easy. Students can attend a gathering, join a small group, or connect with a ministry leader to learn more about opportunities available.

Whether you’re new to faith or have been on this journey for a while, you are welcome to participate at your own pace.

Student Leadership Opportunities

Students are encouraged to take an active role in shaping the ministry. Leadership opportunities include helping organize events, leading small groups, and contributing ideas that strengthen the community.

This is a space where your voice matters and your leadership can grow.

Community Impact Stories

Located at the heart of DePauw University, Gobin Church plays an active role in campus life. It serves as a spiritual home for students, faculty, and staff, while also supporting interfaith dialogue, reflection, and personal growth.

Its presence bridges academic life and spiritual life, offering a place for both exploration and grounding.

Chaplain Jonathan Martin leads these weekly services in the Christian tradition, 11:30 AM-Noon, Wednesdays at the Center for Spiritual Life (411 East Seminary), with lunch immediately following. The hope is this will be a space of rest for your body, renewal for your mind, and replenishment for your soul.
No expectations, other than that you bring your whole self -- all of you are welcome in this space. Everybody is welcome at the table!
