Lily Renewal Grant

A Season of Renewal for pastor Bryan Langdoc and Gobin Church

Gobin's Renewal Time

The leadership and congregation of Gobin Church are excited about the opportunity for Renewal this summer!

Pastor Bryan Langdoc will be celebrating his 10th year as pastor and Gobin Church will be celebrating their 100th anniversary in 2024. The summer presents an opportunity for rest and remembering our identities as individuals and as a church.

From May 1st - August 1st 2024, pastor Bryan Langdoc will step away from his Gobin pastoral responsibilities in order to take part in a series of trips, activites, and opportunities of reflection for himself and his entire family.

Throughout this time, Gobin will also be taking part in speicalized programming, congregational care practices, and spiritual events that hope to help us feel reconnected and renewed as a community.

More than 200 U.S. Congregations Receive Lilly Endowment 2023 Clergy Renewal Program Grants

Gobin Church and Pastor Bryan Langdoc received a $60,000.00 grant for the implementation of a Renewal program for both the pastor and the church. Christian Theological Seminary, an ecumenical seminary based in Indianapolis, announced 229 congregations from across the United States have been selected to receive grants through the Lilly Endowment National Clergy Renewal Program and the Lilly Endowment Clergy Renewal Program for Indiana Congregations. The grants help congregations honor and support their pastors by enabling them to engage in a period of extended rest and renewal.

Recipients may use the respite for activities that encourage them to reflect and renew while engaging in activities such as travel, scholarly research, or immersive experiences with different cultures and traditions.
